Sin. Sin is a riddle, a mystery, a reality that eludes definition and comprehension. Perhaps we most often think of sin as wrongdoing or transgression of God's law. Sin includes a failure to do what is right. Paul, in the book of Romans, discusses sin. He shows that everyone, both Jew and Greek, is below sin (Rom. 3:9). He shows that sin is now not merely one thing that is executed, however a condition of the guts (Rom. 3:3,10,11,12). In Ephesians Paul says that we're "by way of nature kids of wrath" (Rom. 2:3). Yet, "whilst we had been still helpless, on the proper time Christ died for the ungodly" (Rom. 5:6).
