HOW TO MAKE THE MANDALA

STEP 1: GET THE FREE SVG FILE

Get the free SVG design file from the free useful resource library.

STEP 2: UPLOAD YOUR DESIGN INTO CRICUT DESIGN SPACE

The file you want to add is cross_combined_v2.svg.

[Version 2 fixes the pointy finish of cross. It shall be layered in several colours. Everything else remains the same.]

Here is what your SVG minimize report will seem like whilst you upload it to Cricut Design Space:

Resize the mandala for your desired size. I recommend shrinking it down so you'll be able to see the entire layers for the next step. Don't omit to resize it back for your reduce measurement!

STEP 3: PICK YOUR COLOURS

There are two layers for the ribbon. One is the highest layer and one is the ground shading layer. Select your colors in your ribbon. I like to recommend choosing a colour for your backside layer just reasonably darker than your top layer.

STEP 5: ADD RIBBON TEXT

On one of the text layers, put the primary half of your word or pronouncing. For example "blessed" could be "bles". On the second one of the text layers, put the second part of the phrase or announcing. Using this situation, "sed".

Now we wish to fix the kerning (aka the gap between the letters). With how it appears to be like presently, the letters might be cut out in my opinion. We don't want that. Click on your text layer and alter the "Letter Space".

Letter spacing: -1.2

Do this for both text layers.

Next, drag this text over in your banner and resize it so it suits.

Now let's upload some curves.

Font measurement: 40

"Bles" curve: -12

"sed" curve: 5.8

Now we need to make sure that the Cricut cuts out the phrase in a single piece.

THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT. Select each textual content layers and click on "Weld".

If you did it accurately, you should now have one layer with the "blessed" phrase (see layer list above). You will not be capable to edit the curve or text choices for this. It is now mainly like another SVG record.

STEP 6: CUT IT OUT

When you are satisfied together with your colours and ribbon elements, click on "Make it". The Cricut design area will type the layers by means of color.
